uPAC-7186PEX-G is a palm-size programmable automation controller built around an 80186-class CPU running at 80 MHz. It runs the MiniOS7 framework and can be programmed in C, making it suited to bringing serial devices onto Ethernet and Internet networks without a separate gateway.
The unit provides one 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port and one RS-232 and one RS-485 port, with serial rates up to 115200 bps. Power can be taken from the Ethernet cable under IEEE 802.3af Class 1 Power over Ethernet, using a standard Category 5 cable from a PoE switch, or supplied from a +12 to 48 VDC input. An I/O expansion bus accepts one X-board for adding analogue, digital or serial functions.
This grey cover variant is intended for DIN-rail installation across an operating range of -25 to +75 °C. Built-in storage includes 512 KB flash, 512 KB SRAM and 16 KB EEPROM, and a watchdog timer and real-time clock are included.
