Remote Terminal Unit
The GTP-541M is a 4G remote terminal controller for engineers who need to bring field I/O and serial devices online over cellular links. It combines an LTE radio with GPS, five digital inputs, four voltage analogue inputs, two digital outputs and one RS-232/485 port in a metal DIN-rail or screw-mounted housing. The unit's function is selected by SD card firmware, and only one function can be active at a time. Options include Modbus slave polling of up to three Modbus devices with regular reporting to M2M RTU Center software, SMS and voice alarms triggered by I/O or Modbus commands, transparent virtual COM mapping of the serial port for remote maintenance, and a Modbus to MQTT gateway with five customisable publish and five subscribe topics. This ordering code is the Asia-only variant, as noted in its description. The source states that it does not support VoLTE, and it is rated for an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.ApplicationsRemote monitoring of I/O and Modbus devices over cellular networksSMS and voice alarm notification for remote sitesRemote maintenance of serial equipment via virtual COM portsSerial to 4G gateway for Modbus dataModbus to MQTT publishing for IoT applicationsLogging of I/O and GPS data with upload by e-mail or FTP
4G intelligent remote device with inertial navigation. (Asia Only).
GTP-542M CR is a 4G controller that combines SMS and voice alarming, a serial-to-4G gateway and a remote terminal unit in one DIN-rail or screw-mounted metal housing. The function is selected by loading the matching firmware from the microSD card, so one unit can be repurposed as the application changes. Only one function runs at a time. The available firmware modes cover alarm notification from I/O or Modbus RTU commands, text-based ASCII alarm triggering, polling of up to three Modbus devices with reporting to M2M RTU Center on a PC, remote maintenance through a virtual COM port, and Modbus to MQTT gateway operation. Analog and digital inputs, a 100 mA 24 V DC digital output and a single RS-232/RS-485 port provide the field interface, while GPS/GNSS positioning and VoLTE support add location and voice capability. The unit is rated for -25 to +75 °C operation and is RoHS and WEEE listed. Supporting software from ICP DAS, including SMSDBS, VxServer and RTU Center, is available to speed up platform development.ApplicationsRemote alarm notification by SMS or voice callRemote monitoring of Modbus devices and I/O with reporting to a PCSerial device connectivity over 4GRemote maintenance of RS-232/RS-485 devices via virtual COM portModbus to MQTT data publishing for IIoT platformsData logging and upload by e-mail or FTP
