The MDC-211-ZT CR is a Modbus data concentrator that brings serial Modbus RTU devices onto an Ethernet network. It polls connected RS-232 and RS-485 devices according to a user-defined command table, then arranges their data into a continuous address range. A remote monitoring host can therefore read data from several Modbus RTU devices in a single Modbus TCP connection, which reduces Ethernet traffic and simplifies data acquisition.Wireless reach comes from the ZigBee mesh interface. The concentrator can connect remote, distributed ZT-2000 I/O modules and general Modbus RTU devices in locations where cabling is difficult to install, with a typical line-of-sight transmission distance of 700 m.Setup is handled through a web-based user interface, where you can check communication status and the update frequency of each Modbus RTU command.
