The tGW-715-UL-UTA CR is a compact gateway that lets a Modbus TCP host communicate with serial Modbus RTU or ASCII devices over Ethernet. Because the serial side is carried over TCP/IP, cable length limits of conventional RS-422/485 wiring no longer restrict where field devices can be placed.
This variant is rated for an operating temperature of -40 ~ +70 °C and uses conformal coating for resistance to moisture and salt spray, which suits outdoor-adjacent cabinets and high-humidity sites. It can be powered from a PoE switch (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1) or from a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal block, and it mounts on DIN-rail.
Read-caching stores recent requests and responses, so repeated queries from several SCADA or HMI masters to the same slave are answered faster and place less load on the RS-485 bus. The -CR ordering code includes a DC-jack to 2-wire power cable, 0.3 M (CA-002-UL).
