The GPS-721U-MRTU CR is a GPS/GLONASS receiver module built around a u-blox solution. It reports position over RS-232 or RS-485 using NMEA 0183, DCON or Modbus RTU, so it can feed a host controller, PLC or SCADA system without a separate protocol converter.
Beyond positioning, the module adds a digital output and a pulse-per-second (PPS) signal. The default PPS output is a 100 ms pulse each second, which can be used for precise timekeeping, time measurement and as a time synchronisation source. The GNSS system selection is made in DCON Utility Pro, with a power cycle required for the change to take effect.
This ordering code includes a 5 m GPS antenna (ANT-115-03-02). Status LEDs show power and communication activity as well as GNSS status, and the module runs from a non-regulated +10 to +30 VDC supply over an operating range of -25 to +75 °C.
