The FR-2057TA adds 16 isolated digital outputs to an FRnet network. Each channel is a PNP (source) open-collector output rated at 30 VDC and 100 mA maximum, with 3750 Vrms isolation. Modules are daisy-chained over a 2-wire FRnet bus, so a PC, PAC or PLC can control remote outputs without a dedicated I/O cabinet layout.
FRnet handles the wire-saving DI/DO control in hardware, so there is no software overhead on protocol processing. Outputs can be broadcast to several modules at once (1:n), duplicated easily, and updated on a fixed I/O scan time of 2.88 ms with I/O synchronisation.
This variant runs at 250 kbps with a transfer distance of up to 400 m. The FR-2057HTA, by comparison, runs at 1 Mbps over up to 100 m with a 0.72 ms cyclic time. The module is DIN-rail mounted, uses a 10 to 30 VDC supply with reverse polarity protection, and operates from -25 to +75 °C.
