The WLS-T01 CR is a battery-powered 2.4GHz tag that broadcasts locating packets automatically to a WLS-R01 receiver. It suits tracking people or items across a site where a wired infrastructure would be impractical. The unit runs from a single CR123A (3.0 VDC) cell and is rated for line-of-sight transmission up to 100 m.
Channel and power are user-selectable: the 2.4GHz ISM band is divided into 16 RF channels from 2.405 GHz to 2.48 GHz, and transmit power has 16 settings. A front-panel button adjusts these settings and also triggers the help function, which sends a distress signal so that colleagues can see the wearer's relative position. A built-in LED warns when the battery is low, and the cell can be replaced by the user.
