The ISO-P32C32 CR is an ISA bus digital I/O board for PC-based control and test work, providing 32 isolated digital inputs and 32 isolated digital outputs. The inputs use photo-coupler circuits and can be powered internally through the built-in DC/DC converter or from an external supply, selected by jumper. The outputs use Darlington transistors with an integral suppression diode for inductive loads.
The board isolates the host PC from field logic signals, which helps prevent ground-loop problems and protects the computer from damaging voltages. Channels 0 to 15 and 16 to 31 form separate isolated input groups, and the outputs are arranged in two further isolated groups. Interrupt handling is supported, with channel 0 and channel 16 as interrupt sources.
This ordering code includes one CA-4037W cable and two CA-4002 D-Sub connectors, so the board can be wired to field signals straight away. Each D-Sub connector carries 16 input and 16 output channels. The output port requires an external power supply.
