The PISO-ENCODER600U is a universal PCI bus card for reading six encoder axes from a single PC slot. Each axis has its own true 32-bit counter, with counting at up to 4 MHz, which suits engineers tracking several motion axes at once.
Counting can be set to quadrant, CW/CCW or PULSE/DIR mode, and a third-order internal digital filter is built in. Counters can be cleared by a programmable register reset, by the C channel index signal once per revolution, or by the external HR1 to HR6 hardware reset pins, which can also be used as digital inputs.
Eight digital outputs are isolated with 2500 Vrms photo-couplers. The CR ordering code includes a CA-SC68 SCSI-II 68-pin male solder-type connector with cover. Software support covers Windows 11, Windows 7/10 and XP/2000, plus DOS and Linux 2.6 through the SDK, with LabVIEW 8.5 and above.
