The ZT-USBC CR is a compact wireless converter that brings a USB host into a ZigBee personal area network. Fitted with a Type-A plug and drawing its power over USB, it needs no external power supply or external antenna, making it a simple way to add ZigBee connectivity to a PC or embedded host.
In the network it takes the ZigBee Coordinator (Host) role, initialising the network and managing its routing. It is compliant with IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee Pro / ZigBee 2007, operates in the 2.405 to 2.48 GHz band across 16 channels, and can manage up to 255 ZigBee routers. The device can also function as a router to extend coverage and improve signal quality.
