The XV116 CR is a compact expansion board that combines five digital inputs with six Form A relay outputs. Each input can be wired as sink- or source-type, so it suits both NPN and PNP field devices without a different board variant.
Every digital input can also operate as a 32-bit counter, which makes the board useful for counting pulses and events. The outputs can be configured to take defined states at power-on. Two relays are rated for signal switching and four for power switching, giving a mix of contact ratings on a single board.
For noise-sensitive installations, the board provides 3750 VDC intra-module isolation and ±4 kV contact ESD protection on each terminal, with 70 VDC overvoltage protection on the digital inputs. It communicates via an RS-232 port using Modbus/RTU at 115200 bps, and is powered from a 5 VDC terminal block at up to 1.2 W.
