The WF-2572 CR bridges a wired Ethernet device onto a Wi-Fi network, allowing an industrial device with an RJ-45 port to communicate wirelessly without complex configuration. Ethernet-to-Wi-Fi conversion uses transparent transmission, so the connected equipment does not need to be aware of the wireless link.
The unit supports dual-band operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Because the 2.4 GHz band is more crowded, the 5 GHz band typically sees less interference, which can help in environments with many wireless devices. Limit-AP and Infrastructure modes are available, with WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK encryption.
