The VP-4208-CE7 CR is a 10.4-inch ViewPAC that runs Win-GRAF SoftLogic control logic and a Windows CE 7 operator interface on one platform. It suits engineers who want the HMI, data acquisition and control handled in a single panel-mounted device rather than separate PC and PLC hardware.
The unit is built around a Cortex-A8 1.0 GHz processor with 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM and an 800 x 600 TFT LCD with a 5-wire resistive touch panel. Logic is programmed to IEC 61131-3 using the embedded Win-GRAF environment, and the HMI can be built with the free eLogger editor using drag-and-drop objects, or developed in Visual Studio 2008 (VB .NET or C#) with data exchange to Win-GRAF applications.
Connectivity includes a 10/100/1000 Base-TX Ethernet port with PoE power, two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-485 and two RS-232/RS-485 ports, all isolated. Modbus RTU/TCP master and slave, OPC UA server and DCON are supported. The front panel is rated NEMA 4/IP65 and the fanless design operates from -10 to +60 °C.
