The VP-4201-CE7 CR is a 10.4-inch ViewPAC that brings control, data acquisition and operator interface into one panel-mounted unit. It runs Windows CE 7.0 on a 1.0 GHz Cortex-A8 processor, with an 800 x 600 TFT LCD and 5-wire resistive touch panel, so an engineer can build the HMI and the control logic on the same device.
Connectivity includes one 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet port, three RS-232/RS-485 serial ports with 2500 VDC isolation, and two USB 2.0 host ports. The unit can be powered from +12 to 48 VDC or over PoE, and I/O can be expanded using Ethernet and RS-485 I/O modules.
The front panel is rated NEMA 4/IP65 and the unit is specified for an operating range of -10 to +60 °C. Memory includes 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM, 256 MB Flash, 128 KB MRAM and 16 KB EEPROM for data retention, plus an SD card slot supporting up to 32 GB. Built-in dual watchdog timers and a real-time clock support reliable unattended operation.
