The USB-87P4-G CR expands I/O over a single USB connection, giving engineers four slots for I-87K series modules. An intelligent CPU module handles communication using the ASCII-based DCON protocol, so modules can be accessed through a simple text command set.
Designed for electrically noisy and harsh sites, the unit accepts a wide 10 ~ 30 VDC input with isolated power, and it operates from -25 ~ +75 °C. Hot swapping, automatic configuration and LED fault indication simplify installation and maintenance, while dual watchdog, programmable power-on and safe-value settings support safe system behaviour.
More than 30 I-87K modules are supported, covering analogue input and output, digital input and output, counter and frequency functions. Software support includes a DLL, LabVIEW driver, InduSoft driver, Linux driver and OPC server.
