The U-7553M is a remote I/O module with 16 digital input channels that reports input states directly over Ethernet. It can act as an OPC UA Server or Client and as an MQTT Client, and it offers a RESTful API over HTTP or HTTPS. These protocols can run at the same time, so one module can feed a field control system and a cloud platform in parallel.
A built-in dual-port 10/100 Base-TX switch lets units be daisy-chained, reducing the number of cables and external switches needed. The module can be powered from a PoE-enabled network under IEEE 802.3af Class 3, or from a +12 ~ +48 VDC terminal block. Local logic is set with IF, THEN and ELSE rules, and rules can be scheduled to run at specific times.
Configuration, control and monitoring are handled through the built-in web server, so no additional software is needed. The module also supports IoTstar cloud management and can write I/O trigger messages to a CSV file or as line messages for device tracking.
