TPD-283-H CR is a compact touch HMI with a 2.8-inch high-resolution colour TFT screen, designed for building and home automation. Power is supplied over the Ethernet cable through PoE, so the unit needs only one cable for both data and power, and it mounts on a standard wall outlet.
Engineers can build the user interface with the free HMIWorks tool. PLC-oriented users can work in Ladder Designer, while those with programming experience can use the C language environment. The source notes that creating a basic application in Ladder Designer takes no more than 30 minutes to learn.
With a Modbus TCP protocol option, a buzzer, a rotary switch and a touch panel, the TPD-283-H CR suits projects that replace mechanical switches with intelligent control pads. Support for custom communication protocols written in C allows integration beyond the standard protocol.
