The RU-87P1-G CR extends a remote RS-485 network with one slot for I-87K series I/O modules. Its intelligent CPU module handles the I/O locally and communicates with the host using the DCON protocol, so engineers can add analogue, digital and counter/frequency channels to a multi-drop RS-485 bus.
The unit is aimed at harsh, electrically noisy sites. It accepts a wide +10 ~ 30 VDC supply and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C. Hot swapping and automatic configuration simplify installing and replacing I/O modules, while LED indicators and switches help with fault finding and communication setup.
For software integration, the I-87K modules plugged into the unit can be accessed through the PACSDK, LabVIEW driver, InduSoft driver, Linux driver and OPC Server provided by the manufacturer. The gray-cover version is listed under ordering code RU-87P1-G CR.
