The PISO-CPM100U-D is an active CANopen master card for PC-based control. It fits a Universal PCI slot and provides one CAN channel through a 9-pin D-Sub connector, so engineers can run CANopen network management and node monitoring from a host computer without building their own CAN interface.
CANopen critical processing runs on the card's own 16-bit microcontroller, which uses the MiniOS7 real-time operating system. The host and the CANopen firmware exchange data through memory mapping, and the card is designed to keep up with message handling even when the PCI bus load is high. Host applications can be written with the supplied CANopen library, and the CANopen Motion Library based on CiA-402 is also available for motion control.
Choose this model when you need a PCI-based CANopen master with a D-Sub connection. The -D suffix identifies the 9-pin D-Sub variant, and the card includes a built-in 120Ω terminal resistor, a CPMUtility test tool and VC++, VB.Net and C# demos.
