PISO-1730U is a universal PCI digital I/O card that fits 3.3 V and 5 V PCI slots. It combines 32 optically isolated digital inputs with 32 open-collector sink (NPN) outputs, arranged in four isolated banks, so the host computer is shielded from field-side voltages and ground-loop problems are avoided.
Choose this board when you need a large block of isolated I/O inside a PC for factory automation, product test or laboratory work. The input and output ports take their supply from an external source, and each output channel is driven by a Darlington transistor rated at 100 mA/+30 V per channel at 100% duty. The board also has a 4-bit Card ID switch, which lets software tell cards apart when two or more are installed in one computer.
Drivers and a DLL with ActiveX control are provided for Linux, DOS and Windows, with sample programs for C, C++, Delphi, Visual Basic, C# and LabVIEW. This ordering code includes one CA-4037B cable and two CA-4002 D-Sub connectors.
