The PCIe-S114 CR is a short-card PCI Express x1 board that gives a computer four RS-232 serial ports, each with its own 256-byte hardware FIFO. Full-duplex operation at up to 921600 bps makes it a practical way to add several serial peripherals to a single machine.
It suits instruments, intelligent sensors, bar code readers, serial printers and other equipment fitted with an RS-232 port. Drivers are supplied for 32/64-bit Windows XP, 2003, 2008, 7, 8 and 10, and for Linux kernels 2.6.31 to 5.16.0. This ordering code uses the standard data-line design, without the photocoupler isolation and ESD protection found on the PCIe-S114i.
The card uses a DB-37 female connector, and one CA-4002 connector is included with each unit.
