The MN-SERVO-YSV CR expands distributed motion control on a Motionnet fieldbus by adding a single servo axis. It mounts directly on a Yaskawa Sigma II/III/V servo driver and is linked to the controller through a serial Cat.5 LAN cable, which reduces the wiring between drivers and the controller. This suits compact, highly integrated machine automation designs.
Each module is wired at its spring-type terminal blocks, so no additional terminal board is needed. Connecting the serial LAN cable between modules is the only inter-module wiring required, and one serial line can carry up to 64 single-axis modules.
Motion features include linear interpolation across multiple axes, 2-axis circular interpolation, and T/S-curve acceleration and deceleration. Speed and position can be changed on the fly. Each axis has inputs for slow-down, home and positive and negative limit sensors, and the module provides software limits and a compare trigger output. Power, communication and I/O are three-way isolated for better noise immunity and device protection.
