LP-2241M is a Linux-based programmable automation controller built around a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with 512 MB DDR3 SDRAM and 512 MB Flash. It suits engineers who need a compact controller that can run custom Linux software, handle several serial devices and connect to two Ethernet networks at once.
Connectivity centres on two 10/100/1000M RJ-45 Ethernet ports and four serial ports. Two RS-485 ports are isolated to 2500 VDC, while one RS-232 port is designated as the console and another is non-isolated. Two USB 2.0 host ports and a VGA output (up to 1280 x 1024) are also provided. An XV-Board expansion bus allows I/O to be added to the unit.
The controller includes a dual watchdog timer, a real-time clock, 64 KB of FRAM for non-volatile data and a 64-bit hardware serial number for software copy protection. A microSD socket is fitted with a 4 GB card and supports up to 32 GB microSDHC. The metal housing is rated for -25 ~ +75 °C operation and mounts on a DIN rail or wall.
