The IR-712A learns IR remote commands from a wide range of electronic equipment and replays them on demand, so an engineer can replace handheld remotes with a device that a control system can drive. Learned commands can be held in the module or saved to a file for reuse.
Two IR output channels allow individual or simultaneous control of several devices. Commands are issued over RS-232 or RS-485 using Modbus RTU Slave or the DCON ASCII string command set, which makes the module straightforward to add to a Modbus master such as a PAC, PLC or PC.
A bundled software utility covers configuration, learning, testing and storage of IR commands, and an API library is available for PC program development. This ordering code includes 2x CA-IR-SH2251 IR emitter cables.
