The IOP760AM-EU CR is a wireless converter that exchanges data between three interfaces: Wi-Fi, Ethernet and UART. Wi-Fi can serve as the uplink, or the unit can use an Ethernet WAN connection instead, while a local Ethernet switch can link further Ethernet devices through the unit.
Serial data can be sent directly over the RS-232/485 port or formatted using the Modbus protocol, which suits engineers connecting Modbus RTU devices to a wireless network. Users can choose IEEE 802.11 b/g/n for 2.4 GHz or IEEE 802.11 ac for 5 GHz. When the signal drops below a set threshold, the roaming function can move the unit to a stronger access point.
A digital input and a relay output allow the unit to be used for device triggering or event reporting. The solid metal body can be fitted to DIN-rail or bracket mounting kits, and the unit is rated for an operating temperature of -20 ℃ ~ 60 ℃. This variant is supplied with a category E plug type.
