The I-87K8-G extends I/O over a single RS-485 link by providing eight slots for I-87K series I/O modules. It suits engineers who need to add analogue, digital, counter or frequency channels at a remote point without running a separate connection for each module.
The unit has an isolated RS-485 port rated at 3000 VDC, which supports multi-drop wiring, and it communicates using the DCON protocol at up to 115200 bps. The power input accepts 10 to 30 VDC and is isolated, and the unit is specified for operation from -25 ~ +75 °C, so it can be mounted in demanding cabinet conditions.
Installation is simplified by DIN-rail or wall mounting, and a single power LED indicates status. Module support covers more than 30 I/O types in the I-87K family, and the order code specifies the grey-cover, RoHS-compliant version.
