I-87K4-G CR extends I/O over RS-485 by carrying up to four I-87K series I/O modules on a single unit. It suits remote or distributed I/O layouts where several expansion points share one serial bus and the modules need to be kept close to the field devices they serve.
The unit is built for harsh and noisy sites. It accepts a 10 ~ 30 VDC supply with isolated power input and operates across -25 ~ +75 °C. The RS-485 port is isolated at 3000 VDC, which helps protect the bus in electrically demanding installations.
More than 30 I-87K modules are supported, covering analog input and output, digital input and output, counter and frequency functions. Software support includes DLL, ActiveX, LabVIEW, InduSoft and Linux drivers, plus an OPC server, so modules installed in the unit can be integrated into a range of control and data acquisition systems.
