The I-7570 CR bridges a serial host and HART field devices. Connect a PC or controller over RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 and access HART transmitters, actuators and current output devices without writing HART framing yourself. Used with the HC_Tool utility, it operates as a HART master; with the HDS utility, it can emulate HART slave devices.
Point-to-point or multi-drop HART operation is supported, with up to 15 HART slave devices. Two HART masters are allowed, and both HART short and long frames and Burst mode are supported. The bundled utility tool helps you configure the module and test HART communication quickly.
The gray-cover version is powered from an unregulated +10 ~ +30 VDC supply and includes 4 kV ESD protection and a built-in watchdog. It mounts on DIN-rail or wall and is suited to monitoring and instrumentation installations, including FDT-based configuration systems.
