The I-7510 CR is an isolated RS-485 repeater that provides 2-way optical isolation between one RS-485 device and the rest of the system. It suits engineers who need to protect a sensitive node from ground differences and disturbances while keeping the bus connected.
Beyond isolation, the module can extend the reach of an existing RS-485 network and expand a system beyond the 256-node limit imposed by the standard. It can also convert a 2-wire RS-485 signal, and vice versa.
Direction switching is handled automatically, and the module supports speeds from 300 to 115200 bps. The I-7510 CR is a DIN-rail mounted unit with a plastic housing, powered from +10 VDC to +30 VDC.
