GW-7553-B bridges a PROFIBUS DP network and Modbus TCP devices. It presents itself as a DP-V0 and DP-V1 slave to the PROFIBUS master, so existing PROFIBUS control systems can read and write data from Modbus TCP equipment such as PLCs, sensors and I/O modules.
Each direction carries up to 240 bytes of input and output data. The Modbus side supports Master and Slave modes and the RTU, ASCII and TCP formats. The PROFIBUS transmission rate is detected automatically, and the station address (0 to 126) is set either by DIP switch or stored in EEPROM.
The unit has a built-in web server, so it can be configured from a standard web browser. An RS-232 port is provided for firmware and configuration updates. Electrical isolation is rated at 2500 Vrms for the network side and 3000 VDC on the PROFIBUS side, and the module is designed for an operating range of -25 ~ +75 ℃.
