The GW-7473 CR lets a Modbus master read and write data held by EtherNet/IP adapters without custom programming. Register data read from the adapters is presented as input registers to Modbus TCP clients and Modbus RTU masters, while output data written by those masters is passed on to the adapter registers.
Its compact DIN-rail housing (52 x 27 x 77.4 mm) suits tight control cabinets, and it can be mounted close to a serial device or fitted into a machine. Power can come from a PoE switch over a standard Category 5 cable, meeting IEEE 802.3af Class 1, or from a DC adapter. The two supplies are redundant, so the unit stays powered if one source fails.
The gateway is rated for an operating range of -25 ~ +75 ℃ and is suitable for control, building automation, factory automation and distributed data acquisition projects.
