GW-2515iM CR is a Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU/ASCII gateway for connecting Ethernet-based supervisory systems to serial field devices on RS-422/485 networks. Its built-in web server, reached through a standard browser over HTTP or HTTPS, lets engineers configure the unit without dedicated software.
The two Ethernet ports form a daisy-chain topology, which reduces cabling and switch count. If power is lost on a module, the LAN bypass engages automatically so Ethernet traffic continues through the chain. Security options include Modbus/TCP Security, HTTPS, SNMPv3 and IP address filtering to allow or block specific hosts.
The unit has a metal DIN-rail housing and accepts either a +12 ~ 48 VDC terminal-block supply or PoE (IEEE 802.3af, Class 2), with an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
