The GTM-204M-4GE is an industrial cellular modem that links serial and USB equipment to 4G LTE, WCDMA and GSM networks. It suits remote data collection and transmission where a PLC or PC needs to send data, SMS or voice over a mobile connection without a fixed line.
The modem offers an RS-232 port and a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, and it can be driven with standard AT commands. TCP Server, TCP Client and UDP Client connection modes are supported, so engineers can integrate it with existing host software. A digital input, electrically isolated, is provided for resetting the system.
The metal housing is designed for DIN-rail mounting and for operation in harsh environments, with an operating range of -25 to 70 °C. Status LEDs show power and 2G/3G/4G network activity.
