FR-2057iTA CR is a 16-channel digital output module that connects to a PC, PAC or PLC over the FRnet bus. Its outputs are PNP (source) type, rated up to 30 VDC and 100 mA, with each output isolated from the field side. It suits remote switching of actuators, indicators and other PNP-input loads where the output count, isolation and cable run are the deciding factors.
FRnet uses a two-wire twisted-pair cable, such as Belden 9841, and modules can be daisy-chained to extend the remote I/O. This ordering code is set to 250 kbps, which allows a maximum transfer distance of 400 m, with a cyclic time of 2.88 ms. The factory default of 1 Mbps, with a 100 m maximum distance and 0.72 ms cyclic time, is changed with DIP switches. Cable type can change the achievable distance.
The module takes a +10 to +30 VDC supply with reverse polarity protection and draws 2.4 W maximum. It is rated for 3750 Vrms intra-module isolation and passes EFT, ESD and surge tests to IEC 61000-4-4, -2 and -5. It is housed in plastic and mounts on a DIN rail, with an operating range of -25 to +75 °C. The product carries CE, UKCA, RoHS and WEEE marks.
