The ET-87P8 CR is a remote intelligent I/O expansion unit that takes up to eight I-87K series I/O modules and makes them available over Ethernet. It suits industrial monitoring and control installations where I/O needs to sit close to the process while the control system stays elsewhere on the network.
Two built-in Ethernet switch ports let you daisy-chain units or connect other Ethernet devices in series, which reduces cabling and saves panel space. Hot swap, automatic configuration and LED fault indication keep installation and maintenance simple. The unit accepts a wide 10 ~ 30 VDC isolated supply and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C, so it is suited to harsh, electrically noisy environments.
The ET-87P8 CR can be addressed over Modbus TCP as a slave, or used as a Modbus TCP to RTU gateway. DCON (ASCII format) is available on the RS-232 console port. The ordering code is listed as RoHS compliant.
