The ET-2252 CR is a DIN-rail Ethernet I/O module with 16 universal channels, each configurable as a digital input or digital output. Each output channel can switch a load of up to 450 mA, and the module can be polled over Modbus TCP/UDP, or publish and subscribe over MQTT, or report to SNMP V2c management systems.
A built-in 2-port Ethernet switch with LAN bypass allows modules to be daisy-chained along a line, which reduces the number of network drops and switches needed in a panel or machine. Peer-to-peer I/O pair connections let local inputs drive remote outputs, or remote inputs drive local outputs, over Ethernet without a host controller in the loop.
Electrical isolation is rated at 3000 VDC for the I/O and 1500 VDC for Ethernet, and the module includes EMS protection against EFT, ESD and surge events. Dual power inputs from +10 to +48 VDC support redundant supply designs, and the configurable power-on and safe values define how outputs behave at start-up and during communication loss.
