The ET-2228 CR provides eight analogue output channels for driving voltage or current signals from an Ethernet network. Each channel can be configured for 0 ~ 5 V, ±5 V, 0 ~ 10 V, ±10 V, 4 ~ 20 mA or 0 ~ 20 mA, with 12-bit resolution and an accuracy of ±0.1% of FSR.
A built-in 2-port 10/100 Base-Tx switch with LAN bypass allows the module to be wired in a daisy chain, which reduces the need for separate switches. Configuration is handled through a built-in web server, and the module supports Modbus TCP and Modbus UDP, MQTT publish and subscribe, and SNMP V2c with trap reporting.
For reliable operation in industrial environments, the module offers 3000 VDC I/O isolation and EMS protection against EFT, ESD and surge. Power-on and safe output values are programmable, open wire detection is available on the 4 ~ 20 mA outputs, and dual watchdog functions are supported.
