The EMP-9091-32 CR is a Windows 10 IoT based programmable automation controller with an EtherCAT Master pre-installed, supporting up to 32 axes. It combines computing, I/O and operator interface in a single DIN-rail or wall-mounted unit, which suits engineers who need HMI, data acquisition and motion control in one compact PAC.
This variant uses an Intel Atom E3950 CPU with 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM, paired with a 128 GB mSATA SSD and a CFast card slot. Motion features include synchronised motion (E-GEAR, E-CAM), virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation. A second CPU supports EtherCAT communication retention, so EtherCAT communication and process recipes can continue even if the OS or program crashes.
Connectivity includes two 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, VGA and HDMI outputs, four USB 2.0 ports, one RS-485 and one RS-232/RS-485 port (both 3000 VDC isolated), and 8 wet-contact digital inputs and 8 open-collector sink digital outputs. The unit accepts +19 ~ 30 VDC input with redundant power inputs and is rated for operation from -25 ~ +60 °C.
