The ECAT-M801-32AX/S CR is a PCI Express EtherCAT MainDevice board for PC-based multi-axis motion and I/O control. Its built-in CPU handles the axis and I/O functions, which reduces the processing load on the host PC. It supports up to 32 axes and up to 512 EtherCAT nodes, with an EtherCAT cycle time of up to 0.5ms.
Motion features include synchronised motion (E-GEAR, E-CAM), virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation. The board carries 13 digital inputs, 13 digital outputs and two 32-bit encoder interfaces with compare trigger output, so encoder feedback and discrete I/O can be handled on the same card.
This variant is supplied with a DN-26 and cable accessories. A second CPU supports EtherCAT communication retention, which is intended to keep EtherCAT communication and process recipes running even if the operating system or an application crashes.
