The CAN-Logger100 CR records traffic from a CAN 2.0A/2.0B network on a single isolated CAN port, so engineers can capture bus activity without a PC attached for the whole session. Each message is time-stamped at 10 us resolution and written to an SD or SDHC card in binary format, ready for offline analysis.
Logging runs continuously and the device is configured through a supplied utility tool over its USB 2.0 High Speed port. The utility can also transmit and receive CAN messages, which helps when checking node behaviour during commissioning or fault finding. The CAN side offers a DIP-switch selectable 120 Ω terminal resistor, a programmable baud rate from 10 kbps to 1 Mbps and acceptance filter configuration.
The housing is metal and wall mountable, with an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. It can be powered from USB or from a +10 VDC to +30 VDC supply, which suits both bench use and fixed installations on a CAN network.
