CAN-8123-G is a CANopen slave unit for distributed I/O on CAN bus networks. It follows CiA 301 v4.02 and CiA 401 v2.1, so it can be integrated with standards-based CANopen masters. Process data is handled through PDOs with several transmission modes, and PDO mapping is available for configuring which data is exchanged.
A single expansion slot lets you tailor the I/O to the application. The unit accepts a range of ICP DAS digital and analogue slot modules from the I-87K and I-8000 series, covering digital inputs, digital outputs, analogue inputs and analogue outputs. A utility is supplied to generate the EDS file dynamically, which is based on CiA SP306 and is intended for compatibility with different CANopen master interfaces.
The unit has an integrated 120Ω terminating resistor, isolation ratings of 3000 VDC (DC-to-DC) and 2500 Vrms (photo-coupler), and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. It mounts on a DIN rail and is suited to industrial machinery, laboratory equipment, maritime and medical installations among other sectors.
