The APW77BAM-EU CR is a wall-mount thin access point aimed at medium-sized businesses that need to extend an existing wireless network. It runs on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac support and can be powered from IEEE 802.3af PoE or a 12 VDC/1A supply.
Operating modes include AP Only, WDS Only, WDS Hybrid, Universal Repeater and Client. Universal Repeater mode is a practical way to extend coverage by linking to other access points, which helps when building a larger wireless infrastructure.
For segmented access, the unit can emulate up to 8 APs with different ESSIDs, with traffic separated by VLAN IDs. This suits separating guest and corporate wireless traffic. The access point supports up to 128 clients and the WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and 802.1x security methods.
