The RSM-405 CR is a 5-port industrial Ethernet switch for building redundant ring networks. It uses ICP DAS Cyber-Ring technology so several switches can form a ring, and it typically detects and recovers from a copper link failure within about 20 ms, which is seamless for most applications.
Each RJ-45 port supports 10/100Base-TX with auto-negotiation and automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover. Redundancy mode and maximum recovery time are chosen with DIP switches, so the unit can be commissioned without any software configuration. The two DC inputs can be connected simultaneously, and a relay output signals a dual power or network link failure.
The metal casing carries an IP30 rating and operates from -40 °C to +75 °C. The CR ordering code includes the 4SNPNA010021G wall mount kit, and the unit can also be fitted to a DIN rail.
