The PEX-DNM100-D adds a DeviceNet master to a Windows PC through a PCI Express slot. It acts as the master on a DeviceNet network and communicates with slave devices using the predefined master-slave connection set, with Group 2 server and UCMM functions. Its independent CAN bus port makes it a cost-effective option for DeviceNet applications that need a dedicated master interface.
The board uses an NXP SJA1000 CAN controller, which handles bus arbitration, error detection with automatic correction and retransmission. Master MAC ID and baud rate are programmable, and the board supports auto-search, on-line adding and removing of devices, and automatic reconnection after a broken connection.
Supplied with drivers for Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10 (32-bit and 64-bit) and an SDK for VB 6.0, VC++ 6.0, BCB 6.0 and Visual Studio .NET, it suits industrial automation, building automation, vehicle, marine and embedded control networks.
