Centralised PoE power for an unmanaged industrial Ethernet segment. The NS-205PSE-24V CR switches traffic between five 10/100Base-TX ports, and four of those ports act as power sourcing equipment (PSE) to feed IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices. Each PSE port supplies up to 15.4 W, so a single DC supply within the +12 VDC to +32 VDC range can power remote endpoints without a separate local supply at each device.
The switch suits sites where a +48 VDC PoE supply is not available. Store-and-forward processing, a 2K MAC table, a 1 Mbit frame buffer and IEEE 802.3x and back pressure flow control support reliable forwarding. Reverse polarity protection and an operating range of -40 °C to +75 °C add robustness for cabinet installations.
Status LEDs show power, link and activity, 10/100M speed and PD detection, which simplifies commissioning and fault finding. The plastic casing mounts on a DIN-rail and measures 31 x 157 x 113 mm (W x L x H). The unit carries CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE marks.
