NS-205PFCS-24V is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch that combines four 10/100Base-TX ports, each able to supply power over Ethernet to a connected device, with one single-mode fibre uplink. It suits engineers who need to distribute power and data to remote powered devices from a single location without running separate supply cabling.
Each PoE port operates as Power Sourcing Equipment and detects powered devices automatically, managing power per port up to 15.4 W in line with IEEE 802.3af. The fibre port runs at 100 Mbps over distances of up to 30 km, and optical transmission keeps electrical noise from affecting the link. A 24 VDC to 48 VDC boost stage allows the PoE function to run where a 48 VDC supply is not available.
The unit is built for DIN-rail installation in a plastic housing, with an operating range of -30 °C to +75 °C and a 24 VDC input rated from +18 to +32 VDC with reverse polarity protection. Status LEDs show power, link and activity, and whether a powered device has been detected.
