The GRP-540M-4GE CR connects Ethernet, serial and CAN devices to cellular networks, giving engineers a way to reach remote equipment over 4G LTE with 3G WCDMA and 2G GSM fallback. It works as a 4G router with port mapping, and as a serial-to-4G gateway for field devices that have no network connection of their own.
The unit adds GPS with 32-channel All-In-View tracking, so it can also be deployed as a GPS tracking node. Remote I/O and Modbus data, or camera video, can be carried over the cellular link, making the device suited to distributed M2M monitoring.
Built with a metal casing and rated for harsh industrial environments, the gateway mounts on DIN-rail or by screw. Micro SD expansion and a watchdog timer support unattended operation.
